How are NETs diagnosed?

Your consultant will undertake a combination of diagnostic tests including blood tests, ultrasound, CT and MRI scans to determine whether your health problems may be related to a NET.

Then in addition to these standard tests special blood tests are undertaken that look at various hormone markers including chromogranin A. Nuclear medicine tests such as the Octreotide scan or the Gallium-68 Octreotate PET Scan may also be undertaken, to highlight tumour location and help plan for future treatment options.
